Key Information

We are seeking a new Pension Scheme Trustee with investments or general management experience to join the ICR Pension Scheme Trustee Board in Autumn 2022.

We have a strong and committed group of Trustees, including lay members, member-nominated Trustees and ICR officers, who bring a wealth of experience and expertise.

Duration of Appointment: trustee tenure 

Time commitment: meeting four times a year, with additional meetings on an ‘as and when’ basis

Location 123 Old Brompton Road, Chelsea, London

Key Responsibilities

The ICRPS Trustees are responsible for the operation and the governance of the ICR Pension Scheme, including making decisions regarding the Scheme’s funding and investment strategy in conjunction with the ICR.

Keeping the retirement savings of your scheme members safe is challenging but rewarding work. Scheme members rely on trustees to be effective guardians of their rights and benefits.

You will need to have knowledge and understanding of pensions and trusts and the law relating to them, the principles of funding pension schemes and investing assets on behalf of members.

The role will require attendance at meetings four times a year, as well as additional meetings and consideration of business by email as required. The role is unpaid; however, all reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the role will be repaid.
