Summary of Role
We are looking for an experienced, proactive and resourceful Executive Assistant with excellent organisational and communication skills to join our team
Your role will be to understand, assist and coordinate the complex work of the Director of Academic Services; to provide proactive project support and efficient administration across the Directorate; and to act as the point of contact for whole-directorate activity.
Your focus will be to support the Director of Academic Services, including provision of excellent diary and inbox management as well as being ambassador for the Director. You will also have a key role in project support, working on and supporting projects that are high priority for ICR.
This is a very busy role so the successful EA will be calm, able to work under pressure, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a genuine curiosity about the role of the team and willingness to make an impact.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate for this challenging role will have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven record of supporting a senior executive in managing a complex workload and busy diary. You will be proactive and diligent, able to work flexible under pressure, manage competing demands, complex internal and external interactions, and communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will be personable, discreet and comfortable advising the director on key priorities.
Directorate Information
The role of the Academic Services directorate is to create an efficient and effective academic environment for the ICR's scientific community to flourish. Our services underpin both research and education across the ICR.
The directorate comprises ten teams working across three sites. It encompasses the teams that support the ICR’s world-leading research, those that administer our degree programmes, and oversight of information governance.
