Salary: Appointments are normally made at the starting salary, however comparable skills and experience will be considered. Future progression is based on annual performance review.

Location: London (Chelsea).  This role is eligible for hybrid working

Job Details

As a member of the Supporter Engagement team within the Development Office, the Supporter Events Manager helps inspire the general public to support the ICR through a variety of sports and challenge events.

The post holder will lead on the day-to-day running and delivery of a programme consisting of high profile third-party events such as the TCS London Marathon as well as ICR's own distinctive and exciting events like The Climb of Life and Terry Fox Run UK.
 
The role does require some work outside of office hours during which you'll experience for yourself not only the passion and commitment of our fundraisers but also join them on location including in the stunning Lake District.
 
As a highly motivated and organised self-starter you will ensure our community of enthusiastic as well as loyal fundraisers and participants are supported and remain engaged with the ICR's mission, and the events team has the tools to recruit supporters and continue to build our supporter base.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to business planning, setting budgets for challenge/sporting events

 - Develop an annual programme of challenge/sports and outdoor events for individuals to fundraise

- Set targets for each participant and monitor and manage their participation to maximise return on investment
 
- Maximise the use of marketing channels to effectively promote events and to increase engagement
 
- Manage external agencies and suppliers to promote event opportunities and deliver a high quality supporter experience
 
- Line management responsibility, establishing agreed objectives and KPI

The Development Office is responsible for fundraising and philanthropic income across the ICR, maximising support from major donors, individuals, trusts, corporates, charity partners and events. We have a proud track record of performing at a consistently high-level year on year, raising in excess of £12m per annum.
