Key Information

Salary: Dependent on relevant Postdoctoral experience. Future progression is based on annual performance review. If the candidate has not yet been awarded their PhD, the starting salary will be at  £34,344 until the successful completion of their viva.

We are seeking to appoint two Postdoctoral Training Fellows to join our In Silico Medicinal Chemistry Team where they will apply cutting edge computational chemistry techniques and data analysis to accelerate our drug discovery programmes.

Key Requirements

The successful candidates must have a PhD in computational chemistry, or a related field and have wide-ranging experience in the use of computational chemistry methods. Familiarity with concepts in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery is desirable although training will be provided.

The ICR has a workforce agreement stating that Postdoctoral Training Fellows can only be employed for up  to 7 years as PDTF at the ICR, providing total postdoctoral experience (including previous employment at this level elsewhere) does not exceed 10 years

The Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery is a major component of the Division of Cancer Therapeutics and is a multidisciplinary 'bench to bedside' centre, comprising approximately 160 chemistry and biology scientists dedicated to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. We implement innovative drug discovery technologies, discover novel mechanism-based drugs, and develop these as rapidly as possible from the laboratory through to hypothesis-testing early clinical trials.
