Key Information

Salary: Commencement on the salary range is subject to comparable skills and experience. Future progression is based on annual performance review.

Job Details

Under the leadership of Professor Kristian Helin, we are seeking to appoint a Senior Scientific Officer to join our Epigenetics and Cancer Team led by Kristian Helin to develop and use pre-clinical models for leukaemia, and to identify and validate new targets for anti-cancer therapy.

 

Key Requirements

The successful candidate must have a PhD in Life Sciences (Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology) and proved experience of working in haematology.

 

Department/Directorate Information:

The Epigenetics and Cancer team, directed by Professor Kristian Helin, studies the role of chromatin-associated proteins (epigenetics) in the regulation of transcription, cell fate decisions and in cancer. The team is also using functional genetic screens to identify potential novel targets for the development of anti-cancer therapy.
