Job Details

Under the leadership of Professor Montse Garcia-Closas, we are seeking to appoint a motivated Staff Scientist (Epidemiologist) to manage a large prospective study of 110,000 women in the UK, focusing on cancer causes, early detection, and survivorship.  This role will involve overseeing data collection, coordinating study operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.  The successful candidate will also lead research efforts, manage external collaborations, contribute to publications and grant writing, and supervise junior staff and research assistants.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate must have a PhD degree in Epidemiology, have experience in research management, study design, data analyses and scientific writing, who will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team interacting with internal and external epidemiologists, geneticists, biologists, clinicians, statisticians and data scientists.  The post will be situated within the Division of Genetics & Epidemiology on the ICRs Sutton campus.
