Under the guidance of Dr Kathy Chan, we are seeking to recruit a Scientific Officer to contribute to Experimental and Translational Theranostic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the lab, ensuring the smooth running of experiments and maintenance of general lab equipment, conducting radiobiology studies and supporting general biology team activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to the candidate to work at the forefront of cutting-edge research and contribute to important advancements in the field of precision nuclear medicine.

Key Requirements:

The successful candidate must possess strong organisational skills, with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities in a fast-paced research environment, and must be capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. A proactive approach is essential, as the candidate will be expected to take initiative, think critically, and identify opportunities for process improvements or experimental design enhancements. Precision and excellent attention to detail are crucial, as the candidate will be responsible for producing reliable, reproducible results that contribute to the success of our research projects.

In addition to these core competencies, experience with key techniques such as radiochemistry, cell culture, microscopy, viability assays, PCR, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) would be highly desirable. These technical skills will be important in carrying out experiments, analysing data, and ensuring the quality of the results. A strong foundation in these areas will enable the candidate to contribute meaningfully to our ongoing projects and further develop skills in a dynamic research setting.

Experimental and Translational Theranoistic Team

The Experimental and Translational Theranositic Team focuses on the development of next-generation ‘radiotheranostics’ – whole-body radionuclide-based imaging and therapeutic tools for cancer detection and treatment, and  explore biological effects of radionuclide therapy to identify druggable targets and improve treatment outcomes.
