Job Details

Under the leadership of Prof Manuel-Salto-Tellez, we are seeking to appoint an Analytical Scientist in Digital Pathology and Tissue-based Artificial Intelligence to join the Integrated Pathology Unit to provide digital pathology (DP) and tissue-based artificial intelligence (AI) analysis to samples already generated in haematoxilin-eosin, single-plex immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and complex multiplex experiments, in the context of cancer research, writing novel code when necessary. Ideally, the successful candidates would have experience in tissue computational analysis, and in the development of new tools for accurate image analysis and biomarker quantitation.


Key Requirements

The successful candidate must have: proven ability to design and implement new computational tools; relevant experience in the creation and application of automated image analysis pipelines; experience in integrating histopathology and multi-omic sequencing data; proficiency with a modern high-level programming language like Python, R, Java; experience in image processing tools and libraries e.g., the use of OpenCV, scikit-image, ImageJ; experience of Artificial Intelligence systems development, based upon deep learning methodologies and frameworks e.g., Pytorch, Tensorflow, Keras.
